lol don't tell me they're different for all shocks? if i buy a new shock does it come with that?

if it's different than stock, then yes. Bilsteins with the fat shafts use their own gland nuts which are supplied, and I think most new inserts (sachs, boge, bilstein touring) do too because they get beat up removing sometimes
