why external? Just get a good internal one and bypass the external

never thought that was possible...if the car was set up to run that way..why change the setup ? can the internal provide the correct fuel pressure ?

Yes sir, its a pretty common mod with m3's since they had externals. The question you should be asking is why would you want internal/external(ie 2 wear/tear items) when you can simplify the setup and change it to what BMW found out later as well.

Here is some info if you need it, but the process is pretty simple. Put the new intank in, remove and reroute the hoses for the external, and you're done.
