    WTB: Fan delete

    Looking for a fan delete setup, would piece it together myself, but need to get this running asap.

    Had a question about this:

    Fan delete is getting rid of the mechanical fan and replacing it with an electric fan. Conversions have been done with a Spal, and Volvo 240 fans to my knowledge.

      Umm, buy an electric fan. Wire up electric fan. Remove mechanical fan.

          If you're looking for one for your 318i the electric puller fan from the later E36 318 ("95 and later) is a direct fit. I removed both the mechanical fan and the front AC fan and installed this one. You will have to make a wire harness to go from the AC fan plug (behind the driver's headlight) to the new fan - I just cut off the harness from the AC fan and used it.
