nope. i have one bolt that will not take a torque, its gets up to 58ftlbs, im thinking it may be defective... i.e. keeps stretching, too low of a yield point. i dont want to buy a new set and i cant seem to find then for sale individually.

i hope it not a stripped head bolt, but i cleaned the threads, cleaned out any oil, nd oiled the bolts as they should be... everything done by the book

if it keeps stretching, just look at the bolt's threads (or compare with another bolt) and u can tell if it actually stretching.

I personally don't like using the victor reinz bolts or headgaskets..they are complete shit. you'd be better off buying a new set of something better.

How are you torquing them, they are angle torqued and not torqued by a specific torque??

i ordered a set of OE BMW headbolts.

They are torqued in 3 steps... 40ftlbs, 60ftlbs, run 25 mintes, 30 degree torque angle [may not be dead on, ive got a book just not on me]

I torqued them to 20, then 40, then 60... so i added a step in there and its just not looking good. once the other bolts get here ill back out the one, check it out and hopefully be able to just put another bolt in its place... then replace the others of course.

Before i get called a cheap ass again, these bolts were FREE!!!!!!! :)

That torque sequence is for the old hex head ones which you shouldn't even be able to get anymore as they had a design flaw. The Torx ones are an initial torque of < 30lbs( I don't remember the exact lbs) then a 90* and an additional 90*
