roof rack, bra, yellow high beams

ok, i just found a guy selling a rack so that's going to be taken care of. could still use a basket and a hitch and possibly one of those shelf/rack things that hang out the back for more storage if i decide not to pull one of those mini u-haul trailers.

you see what i want in the thread title. all can be used but must be in decent shape. please keep the price reasonable as the i am going to be moving and money as of now is extremely tight. the yellow high beams are third on the list as they are more for looks than anything but the roof rack (with wind deflector) and bra are needed for more room for moving and to keep my hood chip free during the 1000+ mile drive.

get at me when you can, thanks.

question: how much weight can i load down my car with before getting into dangerous territory? i have a 318is with brand new suspension, coilovers, and brakes so everything is up to par. i don't want to burn out my clutch or fuckker up the engine so any advise or direction would be great. will be hauling tools (a tub full or so), let's say a dresser and closet full of clothes (minus the dresser & closet, derrr), plasma tv, video/audio/computer gear (xbox, surround sound system, desktop g4, and more geeky/manly stuff), a second set of wheels/tires, pots and pans, some small appliances, car parts (oem suspension and more), and some other misc stuff. ditching everything i can live without for a few months so basically it'll just be this and the basics that need to end up in storage where i'm moving LOL.

Thing I would worry about the most are the tires. How good a shape are they in? The owner's manual for my '91 says 970 lbs max (that includes you and any passengers) including a max of 165 lbs on the roof and to run the tire pressures at 33 psi front and 36 psi rear with that max weight. Think you can get all that stuff in/on your car? Post a pic of it fully loaded.

I have a used Colgan bra I'll sell you for $25 + shipping from 22923. Small hole near one end (though its not thru the felt lining) and its a little died out but still serviceable especially if you just want it for the trip.

thanks for the info. as for tires, i have brand new ones on it from the po. all the stuff should fit and i think i'm going to haul one of those mini u-haul trailers so make everything fit without cramming it in there.

i'll take the bra, re-dye it, and i can cover up the hole with a patch or something LOL. have a paypal address? pmed shipping info.
