someone on s14 was selling a pair of quarters a couple of months ago. looks like they were off a henna car. if your budget is tight, he is on the wrong end of the country for you. have you priced these parts new? they are surprisingly less expensive than you would expect. fenders are about 250 each and the quarters are about twice that.

are you planning to do the entire car? bumpers and side skirts from a parts supply depot are another story. if you look hard enough and have enough money, you will be able to find used all the parts with the exception of the front bumper. not to discourage you, but finding that used will be about like winning the lottery. i had to buy an entire parts car and have it shipped from miami to get one. if you were to purchase that new from the dealer, the cost is well over 2000.00.

Rear fenders will be the weak link in your project. AFAIK they are integral to the rear frame of our cars, and can't easily be removed/replaced. That being said, I could be wrong....will let some more knowledgeable folks chime in if this is the case.

They are integral but it can be done, Vlad and Vazbro's come to mind.

Seems these days the front bumper oem can't be had new for under 1600 dollars which puts a damper on buying one new so used are at a premium.

i have not put the parts on my car yet, but i have everything i need to do the job and will certainly do so when i get time. i have only had the car in my signature for just about a month. i am in process of swapping in a 46,000 mile s52. then comes the mz3 5lug, then the body change. when i get to it, i will post a build thread.

putting the rear quarters on will be a job for a good body man unless you really know what you are doing. i read the comments to your wanted thread on e30 tech. don't let anyone discourage you. everything can be accomplished with time and money. if you intend to follow through with this project, you will certainly need plenty of both. all of these parts can be purchased new from the dealer as a last resort. as mentioned above, finding a front bumper used will be a whore and a half.

going aftermarket is certainly a more cost concious option, but i am not a fan of aftermarket parts. they never fit right and generally speaking, the lines are almost always a bit "off". if that weren't bad enough, you will wind up with a fiberglass car when you are done. the first time you "bump" that glass front end or a side skirt on a speed bump or a parking lot barrier is the day your car goes back into the body shop for a 1500.00 minimum repair.

i appreciate the positive comments about my signature. most people here don't get it.

Double true. For OP, I wouldn't overlook aftermarket parts....there are some decent FG and CF pieces out there for much cheaper (well maybe not the CF ones), and with some elbow grease I'm sure you could get them looking right. Should be a cool project anyway!
