    e12/e24 Parts Wanted

Now, I am looking for: parts you've pulled, paying for your pain and suffering;); a heads up on a car sitting w/ the things I'm after; or hell maybe some parts suppliers/person with access to a car scrapper will have some of them lying around...I don't know. Anyways.

I live in BC Canada, and I would be willing to travel a reasonable distance to pick up parts.

    Here's what I am after:

    1) 5-speed tranny from an m30 powered e12. Specifically needed for the Cable coming off it that drives the speedo. I think its a getrag 265, but I am really not up on my tranny nomenclature.

---BMW fans has it listed as "265/6.45-HY".
---Any other m30 powered cars have a cable speedo and
5-speeds? Need to look into this further.

    2) Drive shaft from the car that tranny came off. or portions of it. never find one that isn't rusted to shit though.... :(

    3) "Side mounting" Differential from a manual e12 or early e24, open or S, doesn't really matter. Ha...yeah slim chance I'd ever find an S.
    Edit: Side Loading. Not Mounting.

These parts will make my current project a hell of a lot easier in the R&D department. I've never seen either car at my local PnP lot, and any that are selling are either auto or in nice condition.So. I figure I may as-well take 15mins to post up what I am after and bump every once in awhile.

Its a long shot, but eh.

    PM if ya can help.
    Cheers,

Are you still after these parts? I have a sideloader 3.07 diff from a 1980 euro e24 and am in the process of buying a 265 with the speedo gear. I'm keeping the transmission but if the speedo gear is easily removed, I'll sell it to you.

I'd be interested in the transmission, but no I don't believe you can pull the speedo gear from it.

If its anything like the g240 and g260 I have w/ a cable driven speedo; its part of the tranny case, and the cable just slides in or out with a small nut to hold it in.

That being said I don't really need these parts anymore..unless I buy an auto e23 sometime in the near future. I came across a free e21 323; stripped it, so now i'm going m20 in my 318, instead of m30.

            Thanks anyways,

edit; I should have updated this thread, but Im a space cadet :(
