I have one but it is not in mint condition!
The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!

Can you post a pic and a price you would be looking for shipped to 90254?

I bought two new ones from Dealer sometime ago and was VERY dissatisfied with quality of them so much that I sent them back.

BMW sent me two more in exchange and they were ok, sad as I need them for my M3's and they don't have the right texture or fit and finish.

Not trying to crap on a thread trying to inform people that yes they are available but they are not like the ones that are in your car presently.

Not to get off on a tangent here (threadcrapping = sacrilege) but I had the same issue with an e-brake console I ordered for the E30 a couple years ago. It was cheap as dirt (something like $30-40 with our dealer discount) but the texture was waaay off, it looked like the exact same texture used in E36's. I never disputed it with the dealer, figuring that it was just some newer plastic/production process they were using; but I've had my car for a little over 2.5 years and I've been searching for a mint early model knee bolster the entire time.

^ like the dashboards the textures have changed. I have a new in the box dash, to make it match ill be swapping out the rest of the interior items. They are suppose to be more durable, time will tell.

I think I might be good with a used local knee bolster. It's good information to have that the new will not match existing. I've always thought in the back of my head that new would never match something that is 20 years old in SoCal sun.

My car will never be mint, but it is my DD so something close to clean will work for me at the right price. I typically pull all my trim from the yard to match existing, this is just the one part I am always a day too late to find!
