Looking for a new manual transmission for an 87 i motor.

I'm in need of a 5 speed manual trannsmission for my 87 325i. Anyone know if it can be rebuilt for a decent price or should I just buy a used working one ?

I'd rather have mine rebuilt if it's economical.

i'm not sure how mechanically inclined you are or how much time you have, but economically, it might be best for you to just rebuild it your self. otherwise CL, or the for sale/want ads here are your best bet.

rebuilding manual trannys is a PITA. Just buy a used getrag260 and be done.
