wtb 87 eta flywheel and anything else i need, or 325i clutch and fly; wtt bmw clutch?

Replacing clutch soon and I am not sure the condition of the flywheel so I figured id replace it with a good/ resurfaced one. Don't know the specifics of what I need so if anyone has any info feel free to chime in.

Also need any other parts that should be replaced during the process.

Interested in maybe a ssk but not sure if I'm gonna go through with it or not.

Also, if anyone is interested, I may be willing to trade a bmw reman'd in box eta clutch kit for something more performance oriented.

All parts must be in great shape and please don't try to sell things to me at a high price because I simply don't have the money for it.

Thanks for the time. Pm me any offers or just post here and ill get back to you later.

... I also need fogs for db bumpers...

    87eta huh?

get yourself a single mass flywheel, have it shave down. Get a clutch kit, and slave cylinder from a 325i (slave cylinders actually vary from 325e and 325i do to single and dual mass flywheels requiring difference throws.).
    dont forget throw out bearing.

Good info. I'm gonna actually look up what clutch I have at home later.. it came in the trunk of my car when I got it.

Can the eta flywheel be shaved down? I've already replaced the slave this year and all of the things you stated new sound so expensive. Flywheel alone looked like a few hundred. Looks like I'm gonna have to take a Saturday off and do a junkyard run.

Is there a big difference between the eta and I clutch performance and durability?

Dual masses cannot be shaved down. No.
Typically, you can't even find a shop to resurface it.

Damn I wish all this clutch stuff wasn't such a pita. Gettin new tires and rims next week and won't even be able to tear em up properly.

Bump for anyone that has the I clutch stuff stated above or an eta flywheel!

Tried gettin pics up of the clutch the other day but they wouldn't load on tapatalk... turns out its "remanufactured" not new. Everything is super clean besides a spot of rust not on any of the mating surfaces of the clutch. Could easily be ground down and good as new.

Can I install the eta clutch without a new flywheel or is that most likely shot too? When I shift hard the rpms stay up and don't catch until I let off the gas or it just burns up until it does. I also had my slave go bad and had to drive it home 45 mins with basicly no clutch, which is why it is in as bad shape as it is.

Time for a new clutch. Yours is most likely hot spotted and never going to grip as well again.

^^^ hold up. So the fly is fine and its just the clutch? Or was that just a typo???

The flywheel's not going to be perfect. No.
But, if you absolutely NEEDED to, you could get away with lightly sanding the flywheel to remove the glazing. But the hot spotting will always remain there. This isn't recommended unless necessary because of circumstances.
