Shift linkage gave out on me .. anybody have ? for 325i !!

Ive been having to drive around now for dayss with only 3rd gear .. the shifter goes in circles and every way u want it to move lol but the car is stuck in 3rd and having it in the shop just now i learned i need a new linkage for the car.. does anybody have ? 1989 bmw 325i , coupe

You need a new linkage? Why doesn't your shop tell you the actual problem? There's more than one part under there.

my thoughts exactly . theres no way every part in there broke out of no where , the only thing we did at the shop was raise the car and look underneath it . we saw that the linkage was shot . I dont know much about trannys but my friend was telling me how i need a new shifter and some long metal piece that goes underneath the car ? regardless i cant find the linkage to this car anywhere
