I got mine off eBay a few years ago. Like 30 bucks shipped from Germany for the plate and the mounting bracket. Actually got two plates and sold the second one.

are the mounting brakets the same for all cars, or do I need to find one that is just for BMW?

I assume you're putting it on your front bumper, and I guess I will assume you have plastic bumpers. You can just use the universal type of frame like Dave his in his sig above or you can drill through the plate and mount it directly to the bumper like I did on my car.

Yeah, I got six plates from ebay and sold four of them.

I mounted mine like Mr 325. Just drilled holes in the plate, and mounted directly to the bumper.
