    WTB: S50 VANOS unit

I do believe mine is shot. After a rebuild the rattle has returned in less than 3 months (or 3,000 miles). So, let me know what you got, how much you want shipped to 98360.
    Need a part? PM me.

I have one that worked fine but needs the damn reverse thread bolt. I couldn't find a replacement so bought a whole new unit.

Did you check out the besian (sp?) systems website?

Already did the Beisen System's VANOS fix when I rebuilt the head. The issue is the shaft itself is pretty worn. Beisen says that the part that the aluminum ring goes around can look marred or scratched but should be smooth to the touch. Mine was/is quite feelable.

Have you consider new? You know they are good for 140K miles roughly so at $250 for one that is not a bad deal. They are warranted two years from dealership on defects as well.

post a pic of what you have/need. I'll look at mine and send for cheap if you can use it over buying new.

I'd probably replace the entire unit itself. I have a new oil feed line, etc... I'd just need the housing, shaft and splined piece.
