    1986 es valance mounting brackets

I've recently found an 86 325es and am in the process of restoring it.

My next step is to reattach the front sport valance but all three mounting brackets are busted.

I was going to create my own with some metal and the

welder but before I do is there any place selling after market replacements?

Just throw away the bracket and drill 5 holes through the top upper lip of the valance. Then I get two friends to hold it up and use a black marker to find the spots to drill the bumper. Take the bumper down drill the holes. Then get some bolts and nuts and mount up! It works AMAZING

P.S. Use washers to keep the heads from pulling through. I have had mine mounted for 3 years and my ex went too far on a curb. Never pulled a bolt and stayed perfect.

I'm going to check out this option and a couple different fitment options tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice, I'll post some pictures of the car (in and out) when the interior is done next month. should look great

I made my own out of some 1/8 aluminum stock. It was a PITA. I ended up making 5 seperate brackets instead of combined lines because it was just too difficult to get the aluminum all bent up without the proper tools. It fits OK. If I had to do it again, I would probably go the bumper method. I talked myself out of it reasoning if I ever hit something with the bumper, I didn't want it to destroy my valence.
