I would say don't run that manifold. It's poop.

well i'm not looking for anything crazy. just a reasonable amount of boost (2-7psi) for now until funds become more readily spendable.

You probably won't find the 524 manifold for less than $100 or so. I'd go with the aftermarket one for not much more money if I were you.

i'll look into it, but as of right now, i'm just trying to keep funds down and have a smooth and easy install. and i pretty much have everything for those mani's.
