Do h4 use the sametype of clip as h1? Smilies are h1 bulbs.

So I searched on RealOEM.com and could not find any reference to the spring clip.

I also contacted Hella who said:

"Jim,
This is not available through Hella USA. I don't think that it is available internationally either.

Hi Luke,

I will look at the local auto parts store (Autozone and O'Reilly) today. I have seen the H4 bulbs but never noticed the spring clips. But it is sure worth a try.
