Just as title says - looking for an "i" head in the Detroit area in good working condition, no cracks or warping. I want something that I can clean up a bit and drop on the engine that's in the car without spending much money. Willing to go as far as Ann Arbor or possibly Lansing. Also willing to purchase a head from anywhere else if you can ship it to me uber cheap.
The future DD has (based on service history / receipts) either a cracked or warped head due to a broken timing belt years ago. I'm just looking for something very reasonably priced to put on the car so I can drive it around while I build a real motor for the little Zinno beast.
My first attempt is to find one local. If nothing can be found within reasonable price nearby, I'll head to the u-pull-it yards to see what I can find. That should give you an idea of how much I want to spend on something that will only be in the car until next spring.
I'm not in a huge hurry, since I do currently have the bronzit beater to tool around in, but I'd like to have something within the next month or so.
