WTB E30 M3 Rear Seat Back

I know, I know, I'll get laughed at, but I am willing to buy one in any condition! If anyone has one that is in bad shape, needs recovered, stained, torn, whatever... I need a good candidate for a modification/recovering for my project, so let me know!

    Thanks guys,

    Garey

Why will you get laughed at? They usually go for 400-600 for bot parts

Because they are rare... Hard to find. Problem is, I have a good condition bottom, but no back yet. The back has to be modified to clear the rollcage down tubes. I was hoping to find someone with a beat up back that I could then modify. I may end up having to use a cabrio back and widen/modify it and then recover it. Don't know yet, we'll see what turns up.:)

Pretty common, I see them for sale enough. Look on ebay and get a bid sniper. Search www.allofcraigs.com

Yeah, but Tyler is looking for one as well... I didn't want to step on his search on there, so I posted here and e30tech instead...

If you decide to use a cabrio back, the rear cards can be attached to the rear bulkhead using L brackets, and
that would take care of the gaps left by the narrower cabrio backrest.

I was actually thinking of adding to the foam on either end of the seat to make up the difference and then recovering the whole shebang with an M3 cover. So, basically making an M3 seat out of a vert core... kinda like what I did with the car... make an M3 out of an E, lol!

Looks like I have a deal working for this part. Needs to come from the West Coast, though. I'll post up when I finalize the deal...

Still looking... deal never went through, seller decided they needed more money for the seat back than agreed upon.(It is worth what he changed the price to, I just decided to keep looking, but still may end up buying it)
