    WTB: 325e exhaust manifolds

Alright, I'm ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE about what I need this time! And it's not the manifolds....

I have an awful racket coming from the exhaust when revving the engine, (engine side) so I have found out that the pipes that go from the manifolds to the cats have a hole in them (where the two pipes from the manifolds come to form one).

So, name your price on some 325e pipes from the manifold to the catback!

I've got some 325e manifolds- but you might want to confirm what is causing the noise- the manifolds are MUCH thicker than the rest of the exhaust, so it's unlikely they have a hole in them. They might have a crack, but it's more likely that some other part of the exhaust system has cracked or rusted through. Also possible that the joint where the manifolds + the downpipes meet is leaking- could be loose or the gasket might be gone.

Just a few things to check.

      Thanks for the suggestion bret!

I'll check when the car gets back home. Current driver of the E30 now is bitching about it :P
Plus the sound annoying to me too, and it cannot pass inspection until it's fixed.

hate to break it to you, but the cat and downpipes (everything from the manifold to the catback) are one piece. So unless you cut something and weld it up, you'll need to get a catalytic converter too.
