    WTB: Steering Wheel Spacer

The little metal spacer behind the wheel - I need one. I am converting an airbag car to non-airbag wheel.

Let me know what you have. You guys with parts heaps must have one of these - right?

is this a real part, a custom part, or just a bunch of washers? I want to put a momo wheel and hub on my 91 318is, I've read I need a spacer, where do you get them? Just use washers? Thanks.

It's a real part. It's a little metal sleeve that goes on the toothed shaft of the steering column between the top bearing and the steering wheel.

I don;t know if there is any problem with using washers. I just know that this is the "proper" way to do it. Washers may be an acceptable way as well.
