    WTB: New-condition seat belt receivers

I'm getting new aftermarket seats, and will be making custom brackets for them, so I'm going to have to add provisions for the front seat belt receivers, and since I'm selling the sport seats from my car, I won't be able to use the ones that are on them. I'd like to get as good condition of a set as possible, the red release buttons on mine were faded to a very light pink, and looked like shit, and the black plastic was very faded. I'll also need them to be from an early mode car, since the early models have smaller buckles on the seat belts, and won't work with late-model receivers. Hit me up with pics of what you've got, and what you'd like to get for them.

Realy? I've never heard of this. I got my sport seats from an early model and the seatbelts seem to work fine.

Anyways, if you want them to look new, just buy them from the dealer. They can't be too expensive.

It's the truth. 84-86 seat belts have a smaller buckle, and won't fit into receivers from cars past 87.

Anyone? I really need these soon.

If someone has a complete set of front seat belts/recievers from a late model car (88-91), that would work also.

When I briefly owned the 325es (6/86 manufacture date) I swapped the sport seats between it and the cabby(12/86). The Receivers on the vinyl ES seats WOULD take the cabby's buckles, but the receivers on the leather cabby seats would NOT take the ES buckles. When I sold the ES, i swapped the seats back.

They are $40 each from Bav Auto, I'll probably just go ahead and buy them new from BMA, Patrick will hook it up with the fatty discount.

Yeah, I think that's your best bet -- pretty much 99% of them that you are going to find for sale are from wrecked/parted cars, which generally aren't concours cars...the only way they'd be in new condition is if the car sat in a garage all it's life.
