WTB: A/C idler pulley tensioner piece - M42

I'm in need of the triangular piece that the a/c pulley attaches to and is then tensioned via a hex head bolt to tighten the a/c belt. This is for an M42 engine in my '91 318is.

The threads for the pulley bolt are stripped in mine.

Mine stripped too and I just put a nut above the stipped portion. Yeah you have to hold it with a wrench when you loosen or tighten the belt but how many times do you have to do that?

Good idea! Didn't even think of that. As long as I have clearance for the tensioning bolt, I should be OK. I was also thinking of a helicoil but a kit is pricey.

Thanks - I posted over there but unfortunately didn't see the one you mentioned above. I ended up with a $3 fix that I think will work fine. I carefully ground the welds off the existing nut and removed it. JB Welded a new nut into place - curing now. Should be ok, I think.

He lists the right-angle nut plate as a PS component but its really the AC part.
