    Distributor - 3/1983 Euro 323i

I'm on the hunt for a part for a customers car. It's 3/1983 323i, Need a complete, known working Distributor, ready to order.

The local Dealership has been hunting for quite some time, and cannot access anything. The car will be being towed down to me to resolve it for the customer. I'd like to solve this quickly for him, and have what's needed faster than the time he has already waited to get his euro e30 back on the road.

good luck, you are gonna need it. I had 4 at one point which i sold for a very large amount of money to one guy. This was like 6 years of collecting them.

not sure if this is legit but:

Justin wants the distributor...but he might not want it as much right now.

noid, I've gotten a few quotes from a few people, in the $250+shipping, to the $265shipped range. The part numbers they provided on their distributors were not an exact match. I'm not sure what the difference is, but I'd like to buy the exact part once, as opposed to just buying whatever someone has.

I can pick up a new unit, and that's a last ditch plan if I can't find a known working unit. We will be likely doing a swap soon, but he wants to get it running before we go that route.

I'll sell you one for way less than that. I seriously doubt there is much difference between various 323 dist's.

On another note, a distributor is a very simple device, what is wrong that you need a completely new unit?

The shaft is worn, the bearings are bad, and it's bound up and cut the distributor cap in two sections. Pretty much exploded.
