Nick - I have one with chipped primer. It'd be pretty easy to remove. I think the clips are toast from rust but you can just use the wash/bolt combo to attach it.

Oh and he's just going for the deleted plate look. Someone just posted a DiY for it. All the kids be goin crazy for it.
