    Euro Rot Heckblende/Dekor Heckblende

Hello everyone... I am pretty new to this, but I did manage to make it to this last summer's PNW E30 meet. It was great seeing everone show up, and I can't wait for another big event like it!!!

Now on with my wish... I bought my car last year from the original owner, (of 22 years) and he originally installed a Euro/German Dekor Heckblende onto the car from BMW. I have discovered that it was an OEM accessory item and that it is no longer available from BMW (Germany or US). The bad news is that I took my car to an automated "Gentle Touch" car wash, and yes... It was damaged beyond repair. I didn't notice it until the next day, and the night crew likely threw away the other piece.

I am desperately looking for a quality replacement panel. If anyone knows anyone that would entertain the idea of selling me theirs or knows of one for sale please let me know! I am prepared to pay a premium... Think the price is a little high??? ....PM/email me a price.

          Fingers Crossed!!!

I finally found one on ebay.de and I made a deal with the seller, and a minty replacement panel is on it's way!!! (...almost $200.00 dollars though! All I can say is "supply & demand"!)

          Thanks though!

Yes, you would be incorrect as it is made in the same manner as the rear brake light housings. Additionally, it was originally made available by BMW only with a Euro version and a US version. Later on, companies such as Hella and Air Press offered aftermarket versions for a wide variety of cars. The original/OEM "Dekor Heckblende" offered from BMW of Germany is difficult to source here in the states because it was made for european vehicles. My car was purchased by the original owner (US Army) in Germany where he added the heckblende as a dealer installed option.
