after finding out my car also needs a u joint instead of just a center support bearing im also looking for a used front driveshaft since theyre not replaceable (great idea bmw)

The driveshaft is balanced as a whole unit. If you just get a front piece, you're asking for issues.

And they are replaceable, just not by you. Driveshaft shops can replace them no problem, but not your regular corner shop.
