          Would you be interested in something like this? It's the same concept only its made from an early plate style shifter.

          I'm running it in my car (getting parted out) with a z3 lever and it feels awesome. puts the shifter much closer to the steering wheel. I also Could make you a shift boot to accomodate the taller shifter.
