Why? They're the same price as E30 mats (new) and won't fit the E30 well at all.

people have used e36 mats in there cars even seen e46 mats

Just a note:

I just purchased 2 sets of redsubdivisions mats. It was quick, effortless, cheapest, and even comes with nice OEM Clips to Boot! IMHO the best deal around and a great guy to work with. Quality was of course genuine OEM. You can't go wrong.
