S52 and s50b32 (~280-290RWHP) and s54b32 (310-330RWHP) race cars often run 4, 10 final drive ratios in original unmodified state.

Unless you have a 168mm 4 cylinder differential you dont make enough power to break the gears or oem BMW LSD unit.
The bmw 188mm 4, 10 gearset and lsd differential can handle quite a lot of power if setup properly.
