Yeup. I've realized that today. There is one that's between the 2.92 and 3.73 correct?
I mistakenly got mixed up. My mechanic gave me an option to build and swap in a M20B25 or build/refresh my ETA (cheaper better mileage option), so that's where that other diff idea came from.
MIGHT be better off just doing a head swap. get a leak down test and see if you have any leaks. If everything is good then just do an I head swap. ( google or search 2.7i ) 885 head with motronic 1/3 harness ( basicly everything from a 325i onto your eta block ) thus budget stroker aka 2.7i
I have a good 373 open diff from a low mileage vert. Also have a good running m20b25 that I am about to pull from an 89 325is. I will give you a good deal on them both. Come get them!
