I don't think so because the M3 is a 4 cyl tach signal while the 325 is a 6. Could be wrong though.Originally posted by Court M3

I've done some part# research today and found out that the 318, 325, and m3 all have different coding plugs for the tach. It seems I need one from the 325...

You will want a e30 325i on for the most "correctness"
the e30 325e will work but will be off 1-200 RPMs
