    Wtb: good working condition sunroof motor for e30 325es

    Looking for a e30 325es sunroof motor as mine is going out doesn't want to open just goes rrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeee!!!!

      I have a motor but you might want to see if you broke a cable or something before buying it. LMK if you still need!
      The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!

        Cable runnin to what? Thought it was running on a motorized track?

          The motor turns two screw cables that move the sunroof. They are known to break due to not lubeing the slide mechanism causing too much resistance.
          The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!

              I would get access to the bottom of the motor and take a wrench or an Allen and try to turn the motor by hand to see if the sunroof opens. If it does then most likely it's the motor that's bad. If it doesn't then you have one or two bad cables.

                Ohhh good I did that last week just to see what was going on and the sunroof does open both ways when u turn it manually thats why I figured it was the motor :) didn't know about the cables being attached though
