I'll keep the G265 if I ever decide to go back as well as the original differential. The car will never be sold so value is not an issue for me at this juncture. The car is slowly getting transformed to an EVO spec car so the dogleg will feel right at home.

if playing the EVO game.........perhaps finish med school first so you are not worried about writing the big checks :)
You can buy 3.46 torsens off a Z3 via car-part. That's what I did. On the plus side, the torsen is very smooth. On the minus side, it will go open when you lift a wheel. I'd expect it'll be better than pretty much any E28 diff that you can find, though.
