    WTB: 885 "i" Cylinder Head

    R3V'ers,
I am looking for a complete 2.5L "i" 885 stamped cylinder head for my 325is. After doing a pressure test I've come to find out my current head unfortunately has a hairline crack in it.

I am willing to drive up to a few hours away for a decent head with less than 200K that is known to be in good condition. I live in DC.

Bonus points (and dollars) for heads that are already machined and have had the valves adjusted.

I am hoping to spend no more than $350-$400 for a solid head.

    Thanks for your help!

I've got one solid reworked head sitting on the shelf collecting dust for a few weeks now.

Came from a motor that dropped a valve so one of the cylinders has some small dings but nothing major.

When I say reworked it was jet tanked, pressure checked, decked true, valve seats lapped, valve grind, valve guides checked, new valve stem seals installed.

The valve adjustment will still need to be done but I usually recommend doing that after you install the head.

I could do $400 splus shipping to VA and can send pictures of everything described if you are interested.

I also have another head at the machine shop that is 100% perfect but I will be asking $500 + shipping for it once I get it back this week.

PM me if you are interested.

Thanks for the reply. I'm really trying to stay at a max of $400 at my door. If I change my mind I will let you know!

I;'m sorry I actually quoted you wrong. $500 shipped is my 24v cyl head price. I have the best one listed on eBay now. Completely refurbed for $450 shipped but for r3v members I can do $400 shipped.

If you are still interested just PM me. Here is the listing on eBay.

I still also have the one that has the minor pitting in one of the cylinders I will let go for $300 shipped if you're interested in it. Has everything done to it the one above does just with the pitting mentioned. I can send pictures of it to you if you're interested in it as well.
