    OEM Radio (non premium)

    Looking to purchase the stock non premium radio pictured below. Must be fully functional, including properly working volume control and tape player. Please let me know if you have this radio:

    1989 325i coupe 5MT Alpine White
    2003.5 M3 coupe 6MT Silver Gray

    I have that exact radio in my closet (model CM5905). It worked fine when i removed it from my '88 back in '2000 (I replaced it with the better Pyramid Radio from my totalled '89). It's been in storage for the past 13 years and looks better than the one in your pic.
    I don't have the code though. I'll PM ya . . .

        Well we tried my radio in nyy e90's non-premium '89 (no amp in the trunk) and we could barely hear any sound with the volume turned all the way up. He had tried another one previously and the same thing happened.

        We're thinking that this particular model of radio has a line-level output and only works in cars with the premium sound system (with the amp in the trunk). It worked fine in my 325is (premium sound with amp). Anyone know for sure?
