    WTB: pair of decent half-shafts

New project car, axles not looking to great. Haven't pulled them yet but there is some clanking noise and the boots are shot. Just looking for a decent used set for now.

    Thanks!

Just a thought. I got some half-shafts from Rock Auto. Dont laugh. Work great and were @$50 new. I have the shafts I took out but don't know if they work for you.

A friend of mine bought the Rock Auto ones and ended up damaging his differential after the axles snapped between the splines and hub and ended up spending 900.00 repairing all the damage LOL I will see if he has the pictures to show you guys.

NAPA has 1/2 shafts too...not sure how much now. When I replaced them a few years ago, they were $75 each with NO core charge. They have been working great, and matched up perfectly...

I've read enough horror stories about reman'd half shafts to make me EXTREMELY wary of using them. But thanks for the posts nonetheless.

I ended up getting a set from a r3V member. Should have them sometime next week! Just took off the axles that were on the car. I want to kill the engineer who thought those locking plates were a good idea. :hitler:
