WTB: Unibody rear apron from an 88+ E30

I've been on the search for this for a long time now, and every so often I get someone that says they can help me out, and then it never goes anywhere. I need someone that's willing to go through with this, and help with one of the foremost projects for my E30. I need someone with a sawzall that's parting out an 88+ model E30, and I want the stock unibody rear apron. This requires cutting the apron off of the car, since it's part of the body. The optimal location to cut is at the top of the indentation for the bumper, leaving me more than enough material to work with, to bond the piece to the car.

There are obvious conditions here, but they're simple. No dents, no damage, NO RUST. If the apron is smashed in, dented, rusting or otherwise going tits up, it's no good to me. I don't are about the color or condition of the paint or rubberized coating. It will all be stripped off and repainted anyway. Now since this is something that doesn't often get sold from a parts car, I'm not looking to pay premium prices for it. Most people that I've entered into discussions with have come to agree on $50, + shipping. Of course, if someone in Oregon were to source this part for me, I could always drive within reasonable distance to pick it up, saving them a huge headache. If you can, please help me out.

I can take pictures, of the one I have, then you can decide. Then again shipping from Chicago to Oregon is going to be $$$$$$.

I have that exact cut sitting in my garage. My rear quarters were rusty. So, I went to the salvage yard with my sawzall, made the cut, paid $60 for it. It is pre-cut and exactly what you need. This cut goes from one rear wheel well to the other. It includes both quarter buckets and the apron.

My car ended up having more rust than I anticipated, so I got a good rust free shell instead. Now I don't need the cut. I'm in KC. I'll let you have it for the $60 I paid plus shipping, whatever that may cost. Let me know. I can take pics.

My suggestion is if you are going to have something like this shipped, wrap it in newspaper, then wrap it in some shrink wrap, and take it to fedex. I have sent plastic bumpers, side skirts for around $20 this way. It will work and they'll take it just fine. Jordan is sending me sideskirts this way. Cheapest way to send large, light objects.

Have a salvage shop clip a rear off a late model for you. Call some of the big name in Washington state. I know there are quite few out there.

I'm really surprised noting broke like that, but now maybe some bubblewrap around it too I'd feel better. I bet it really saves on shipping and for a metel piece like the rear it must be great

                          *BUMP*

This is the part I'm looking for. It would need to be cut off right at the line where the top of the bumper meets the body, at the crease in the metal, giving me enough room to work with it for installing on my car.

Mark, I need one too. Sadly, I have two late model 88+ cars - both have le rusty ass end.

Why is this so hard? CA/AZ guys, get on this. Go to your parts cars, or salvage yards, and hack off a couple. There's a handful of us early bumper guys that don't want body kits, but hate seeing all that empty space in the rear end. This is the best solution - and doesn't seem to be a common one!
