WTB: E30 vert top motor

Its #1 in this pic, the whole assembly. It mounts to the bottom of the lid storage compartment. mine ate itself

Did the pivot just rip off?
You can buy a plate that replaces that pivot, and mounts to the same bolts as the motor, for cheap on eBay. I ran one for two years untill I bought another motor/transmission.

Yes Todd that's exactly what happened, it also snapped the bracket that has the little L and mounts to body but that I can prob weld, everything else works fine

I have a nice working top motor in excellent shape off a 92 ic. Last one I saw listed on eBay went for $350. Don't need quite that much for mine but if you are interested PM me. Thanks!

Thanks for offer Dan, think I'm going to go with a repair kit. Pm me a price on the piece though in case I can't find a repair kit made in the US

Seems like it Chris as it relocates it to plate instead of integrated to the motor
