    WTB Shortened front strut housings.

I currently have raceland coilovers on my 91 325i coupe with the stock height strut housings in the front. To get the height I wanted I had to take one of the adjusters out but now I can't (obviously) adjust the height if I wanted to. I did research and I saw the stock housings can be shortened and rewelded. Is there any one that has a pair that wants to get rid of? Please let me know the price shipped to 60608.

    Thanks!

Would you like 3 inch cut 51mm diameter housings? Its silly low but the PO liked it. Oil pan sits 1.5 inches from the ground I should warn...

I can cut your current ones any length you want. Given you can be without them for a while. Or I have a pair I can modify for you if you send me your old ones back. With a core charge upfront.

Are the raceland inserts shorter than stock length?

Will do, I am in the middle of removing them and upgrading to stock and z3 rack. Problem is that I live in a different town from where the car is (school) sooo I can only work on getting everything together for you on the weekend. Also, these are cut reallllly short, my car came with a GC setup and I am not sure if GC ships konis that are shorter than regular struts. The reason I think this is because in the installation process GC requires you to cut your strut housing between 1 and 1.5 inches to accommodate the struts (or put in spacers under the strut if you don't want to cut). Taking that into account and the fact that my konis sat flush to the top of the top make me think this tube might only work with koni short. When researching other struts I have not read about cutting your struts for them.

I am not 100% any of the info above is correct it is just speculation on random did bits of info I have picked up. I would do some heavy reading while the weekend comes and I get a chance to go back to my car in houston.
