    WTB: Getrag 240 5spd manual transmission for '85 318i M10B18

I'm in need of a good condition Getrag 240 5spd manual transmission. This will be replacing the Getrag 240 on my '85 318i M10B18 that just bit the dust. I am located in Kansas City, MO.

PM me with what you've got. I'm open to shipping or pickup.

Thanks for helping keep another e30 alive!

Boxer2: I am looking at a couple different options and yours may be best. Depends on shipping. Could you get an estimate for shipping to:

      Kansas City, MO 64111
      United States

      Thanks.

Well I'm trying to get a decent shipping quote but so far the best I got is around $350 door to door delivered within about two weeks....I have the shipment up for bids so if you are not in a hurry we can see if cheaper bids come in

The early 318i used a 240. It even says it in the link you posted.

"Not listed here is the Getrag 240 overdrive 5 speed found on the '83 320i and '84-'85 318i, as it is almost identical, ratio-wise to the 245/4. It is also of a lighter, weaker design than the 245/4. It is therefore not a good choice when mated to a modified performance engine. Installing one in a 2002 is also slightly more of a challenge, due to it's extra width and lack of an available 4 bolt output flange."
