Rockauto has new AAE Z3 1.9L racks for like $255. No core needed. Just an FYI. It's approx 2.7 as tested on my car.

Actually I was aware of this. I wasn't too sure of the quality of this manufacturers brand though but heck I got a $100 gift card and 5% off discount code maybe I'll give it a shot

Is that currently the exact brand rack your using? If so, how long have you had it? No leaks, issues etc...

I am using this exact brand. Been using it for approx 3 months of daily driving use with no problems. It's certainly quick. However, it feels very light at speed and real heavy if I'm sitting still, like it has no PS.

I think this could be the old PS pump though. It was in a race car before so the pump sustained a lot of high rpms. It makes a bit of noise too despite having new lines, reservoir and high quality fluid.

It's hard to say if it's the rack or the pump causing the overboost at speed and underboost when still but I suspect it's the pump. The alt and waterpump seem to be under performing as well so this all adds up. It's not drastic, just noticeable if you're picky.

I can't wait to try mine out from rock auto. My old e30 one was about toast.
