    WTB '82 528e bellhousing

    apparently the same one came on autos and manuals, but they're not so common. I need one shipped to 94105, thanks!

    Hmm didn't know they came on the autos....I can check.. just 5 speed swapped my 82, have a spare zf 3 speed. Didn't really look at it when I pulled it.

      Just looked, its dark out, and the transmission is filthy.. but it does appear to be removable from the outside.. can't confirm cause the torque converter is still in there and I didn't want to get dirty.

      I will double check in the morning, I have been needing a reason to take that tranny apart any way.

        OP is lucky, find a solution to NLA mtechnic components AND potentially find a rather hard-to-find part same day.

        Please, go buy two lotto tickets, one for you, and one for me!

            Well bad news... I dont think it is compatible, first it does not have the area to mount clutch components, secondly it looks different than the other removable bell housing I have seen. ex. four mounting bolts


            however guy is parting a 82 manual on mye28...
