So, I was racing at the auto club speedway last weekend in a charity event for cancer, and my transmission grenaded. No big deal, I thought... as I found one on craigslist relatively cheaply, and slapped it in while having down time at my shop. I replaced the fluid on my lunch break today with redline, and took it out to get something to eat. My first attempt at going into 5th gear... and it wont go in. No grinding, it feels like it finds the gate, but it just won't lock into gear. So my happiness soon turned to sadness. I have another race coming up here in the near future, and NEED to get this thing working properly! I am hoping that someone in the Southern California E30 family will see this, and come to the rescue. I just lost out on $200, so I'm hoping that the price will be fair.
