Carwash victim: Need right-side rain gutter molding

I need the right-side rain gutter molding, p/n 51131884452 for a 1991 318i. Any chance anyone has one? The carwash pulled it off from the bottom of the windshield to the middle of the front door. The car is aesthetically perfect, so really need to repair it. HELP!

I figure any e30 from 1984 on will work...

        I am interested

I desperately need that drip moulding trim piece. How much? How soon? Have you already removed it from the car? I only need the front 30 inches or so, from the front to just past the top of the windshield.

Please call: 503-516-1468 or email: gtmedley@gmail.com

Attached a photo of them missing section, thanks to a car wash.

The trim in question is one piece, so you will need the whole thing not just 30 inches.

Looks like you need some mirror glass too.

              And a haircut.

Just kidding. As others have said, you need the entire piece, from the corner of the windshield up to the little clip above the rear side window. It is honestly fairly easy to remove/install the piece. You simply grab it firmly and twist it as if you were rolling something away from you. Just twist it off a little bit at a time, working your way back and forth down the length of the trim piece. Additionally, you may have a tough time finding someone who has and can ship you the piece, as it is rather large and fragile when not installed. If you have any scrap yards or someone parting out an e30 near you, you could obtain a much more common chrome trim piece, and paint it black either with flat black plastidip or SEM trim black paint. Both are a near perfect match to the original trim color.

Alternatively, if you absolutely have to have the perfect match (or if the car wash is paying for it, which they absolutely should be), then it is still available new.
The part is #1 on the realoem diagram. The black trim is designated 'schwartz'.

ECS Tuning shows it for about $130 shipped.

Contact blunt at bluntech.com, as he can likely get you a better price and will certainly take care of you.

I have learned to always check realoem for part numbers and price estimates for any part I need. It is quite common to find that the oddball part you need is still available new, for less money than people are asking in classified ads and on ebay.
