WTB: manual window conversion

I've got an 86 es and want to swap to manual windows due to my motors going out.

As far as I know in USA only 1984 318i came with manual crank windows. I was thinking of doing the same but I was not sure if one needs manual windows also

The windows for manual and electric systems are the same. The completes setup is different between early and late models although you can swap the whole system from early to late cars and visa-versa. I have a late model manual setup (with windows) that I'll sell but I would think shipping of the windows across country would be cost prohibitive. I could sell you the mechanisms if you locally source the late model windows themselves.
