You might want to reconsider going with used parts on this. Everything including #10 is available new and at a decent price. Used parts will be worn and probably won't provide the improvement you are looking for. A nice tight stock shifter is a worthwhile improvement!sigpic -
I figure getting used parts for at least #1, #8 and #10 would save me some money since these aren't really degradable parts. Plus, I really only need #10 for a template since I'll be making a DSSR.Comment

Actually the #8 and #10 do wear some, #8 especially because it has a rubber bushing in it. And believe it or not #10 can show some signs of wear. I know because I'm completing the shifter on my E28 and #10 was worn ever so slightly. Probably not enough to make a difference though. But yes #1 should not wear.sigpicComment
