    WTB: e30 clutch/mech LSD 3.91

As the title says. Local would be great, but not mandatory. I will double check my open diff, but I believe it is 3.73, therefore I would like to go up one ratio with the LSD to maintain highway drive-ability.

    Thanks

I have a torsen 3.91 from an iX if you can't find a center section from an E36 (clutch type).

is that the "viscous" type diff?
why do I need a center section from an e36? I thought e30 LSDs are plug and play across the board

yep. a torsen.viscous from an iX. e36 was offered with a clutch 3.91, the E30 wasn't to my knowledge. you can run an e36 ring an pinion with center section in your E30 certainly, but not the case.

argh dammit I misread the e30 diff page... it looked like there was a 3.91 clutch LSD (actually there is "3.91 - facelift 325i touring, cabrio, 325i with getrag 260 sport" - probably rare though)

in that case I'm looking for the 4.10. If that's the commonly available LSD for e30s. I want a clutch type LSD, not the viscous type

edit: I suppose I'll make a new thread with the correct title

thanks, I'll keep it in mind. Visiting a junkyard this weekend, hoping to get lucky. If not, I have to save a bit to afford it.
