I have one from a 96 318ti. I also have the early 318i red label that doesn't have ews. I am pretty sure it works on the m44 as well. I would double check in 318ti.org first though.Comment

Yes the 96 is OBD2. The car its from is an automatic, I'm not sure it matters or not. PM me for more details please.Comment
