    NEED ASAP! Rear subframe..

Don't ask why...all I know is mine is cracked now, and I need another.

Don't wanna spend much, and shouldn't have too. I know shipping may be pricey, but let me know if anyone's got one! :)

You need to find the closest one to you at a salvage yard regarless of price. They are massively heavy and not worth shipping. If you were in KC, I could part with one pretty cheaply.

      "massively heavy"???

Not the rear subframe- maybe if you're talking about the trailing arms and hubs as well, but the subframe itself is maybe 25-30#.

Yea... subframes are pretty big, but not heavy at all. Trailing arms on the other hand... need 2 hands to pick that up.

Yea, all I need is the subframe.

Mine cracked...seems like my bolts for my differential dissappeared...yea, freeaky, tel me about it.

So, I have a good size guage + a crack where there was one bolt left...so all i need is another one.

Preferably no rust, but I could always have it bead blasted and paint it too.

I'll call some local yards soon, but very rarely do any of the yards around here have anything in terms of e30s, much less BMWs, doesn't mean I won't try though!

Figured I'd throw this out and see if anyone had one! :)

          Thanks!

            Sean,

I've got one, but I'll be gone for a week- if you can't find one by next Thurs, let me know and I can ship one to you.

              I have two.
One has some surface rust $135 shipped, another is in pretty good shape. $170 shipped.

I can also add some IE bushings at pretty good price.

              Paypal to alex@bmwe30.net

              Thanks.

TAs are not heavy either, and unless you have some serious dietary disorders, anorexia comes to mind, you really dont't need both hand to pick up a trailing arm.

Kip - Omaha is a bit far now - I'm in Boise for the summer (at home) That, and the whole reason I need it is cause my rear subframe is cracked - so...yea. ;)

Robert - I've actually found someone in town parting out an old 325e, subframe looks great - he said if I pull it off I can have it for $20. So, I' hopefully gonna work with him this weekend and see if I cna get it off htere.

Pulled mine out last night - pretty insane crack. I couldn't remove the diff since the bolt was so lodged in it. So - I removed it all - trailing arms, diff and subframe. Worked quite well with help from two other people! :D

I'll let ya know if that falls thru tho - thanks man!

Boise for summer sounds good, gotta be good roads there...

Good luck with this, sounds like a sizeable project. Photo and post for a DIY article.

The stroker, or the subframe? lol

I already tore apart my subframe last year - pulled it out in like 3 hours after all the other stuff was off (I had to pull it off on my car anyway).

Pretty intense crack though! I'll get pics up, just been too busy to find time to do so! lol

Oh...and there are definately some nice roads out here...no doubt! ;)
