    Good luck on used...

THis is probably the best deal going for new:
These are the genuine article, imported directly from Europe and certified E-Code, meaning they meet strict European standards for lighting and beam control (maximum visibility without blinding oncoming traffic). Do not confuse them with the "Hella Vision Plus" ones sold elsewhere, which are not true E-codes and do not have the same lenses or beam pattern. (If they don't say E-code in the listing, they're probably not.) These are direct bolt-on replacements for your stock 7" sealed-beam bulbs; just pop them in and you're ready to go.  A Better Offer...  We currently have a special purchase on Japanese made Koito E-code headlights, for 30% less ($69/pair).  Wait, you say, Japanese?  Yes. Koito is Japan's equivalent of Hella, a lighting specialist since 1915 and the OEM supplier to pretty much every Japanese brand. Several online forums (and headlight "guru" Daniel Stern) rank these as the best 7" round headlights on the market, above the Hellas. Normally they are pricier than the Hellas, but due to this special purchase they're actually cheaper. Which to buy? Frankly you can't go wrong with either, they are both top tier brands, but even if the price was the same (let alone the Koito's being $30 cheaper) we'd give the Koito's the edge. Click here to view that offer.  Bulbs: Hella doesn't include bulbs, but have a Sale price on those as well. Click here to order German made H4 60/55w bulbs for just $3.95 each. These bulbs work with the stock wiring and plug; no modifications required. (If you have a pre-'67 6-volt Bug or Bus, order these 6 volt versions instead.) Optional High-Output Bulbs: We also offer higher-output 55/100 watt and 90/100 watt bulbs, although they may require the use of relays due to their higher current draw. LED-Ready.  These headlights accept all H4 LED bulbs, but we don't sell those bulbs and are still recommending halogen bulbs instead. Why? Because retrofit LED's (for vehicles not factory-equipped with LED headlamps) aren't quite ready for prime time yet. There's a reason why the major bulb suppliers are not offering them yet, but off-brand Chinese companies are. The beam pattern tends to be irregular (either blinding oncoming traffic, or not illuminating the road evenly), and reliability, QC, and lifespan are inconsistent. (Also they don't generate heat so they won't melt snow that hits your headlights.) As LED bulb technology improves all you'll have to do is plug in LED bulbs in place of the halogen ones (any H4 sized LED bulb is a direct swap), so nothing stops you from switching to LED anytime you want to. But we recommend trying the $8/pair Halogens and you may forget all about LED.

I just sold my couple weeks ago. I don't like the flat lens, but light output is far better than sealed beams. You can get it on amazon for less than 100.

those are for 7" rounds, not the smaller 5 3/4's the e30's have
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

These guys have a pretty good selection and decent prices…

I've always been told the Cibie is a better light with more output than the Hella, but they cost more. Back in the day, the Cibie "Z Beam" was the best 7" light.

But I've been looking at the Hella H4/H1 combination with city lights, which I think just look cool with your parking lights on.

Oh, BTW, I've read that these Hella Bi-Focus are a big deal. I didn't know they were still available.
